Avoid Garage Door Repair Scams!

Suburban Overhead Doors has a long history of knowledge and professionalism. While the name began in 1985, Tom had over a decade of building relationships and learning the industry before starting his own business. Our company was built on a solid foundation of honesty, integrity, and grit. It is those pillars that keep our customers loyal – whether they have been with us 3 years or 30. The success of Suburban Overhead Doors and its reputation around Delco speaks to itself. While Tom has been a leader in this industry since he first began in 1975, we are excited to look to the future and continue the same legacy that Tom began more than 44 years ago – under the new leadership of his nephew, Destin.

Since 2016, Destin has learned the industry and expanded the goals of the business to include new growth, new knowledge, and high-quality garage door products and service our company is proud to provide.

Tom is a Delco native who has loved his community and family over the decades. He installed his first garage door in 1975. Ten years later Suburban Overhead Doors was born. He gained the knowledge that he could from people in the industry and took it upon himself to learn everything else there is to know about garage doors. Tom is an innovative asset to the company who is always prepared to find a solution.

“I absolutely love engaging with my customers, taking my time to go over every detail with them. If there are minor areas, I can help them in such as learning to troubleshoot or fix a small problem for future, why not. That’s the type of service I would like so that’s the type of service I give.”

In his off-time Tom thoroughly enjoys tinkering with new ideas and helping others with their own projects. He also enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Destin officially came into the company in 2016. He was introduced to the intricacies of garage doors at a young age from watching his uncle, Tom, head a successful business for many years. Destin grasped everything Tom has taught him and is striving to take the business into the next generation. His desire to learn and grow in an ever-evolving industry is apparent as Suburban Overhead Doors enters its next chapter.
